Members of the Yampa River Awareness raft trip down the rapids of Yampa Canyon were invited to visit the private Mantle Ranch in June and enjoy lunch in the shade of fruit trees. The original planting of the orchards in 1936 is described in Queeda Mantle Walker's 2004 book "The Mantle Ranch."
