Steamboat Springs' Nelson Carmichael offers a hand to a pair of young snowboarders at a ski resort in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan. Carmichael is helping with a program for disadvantaged children through the U.S. Embassy and Amercan300. Carmichael is traveling with fellow Steamboat Springs Olympian Caroline Lalive and American300 founder Robi Powers, as well as former Jamaican bobsledder Devon Harris and Tom Whittaker, the first amputee to summit Mount Everest.
