Rescues spike in backcountry near Steamboat Ski Area
Steamboat Ski Area recently has seen a rash of incidents where skiers have gone into the backcountry and needed to be rescued. A ski area spokesperson said Thursday that ski patrollers had been on rescues five days during the past week.
