A smokey haze hangs in the Yampa Valley early Friday morning. Officials think the haze primarily is from fires outside of Routt County.

Routt County Emergency Management Director Bob Struble wasn't aware this morning of any new wildfires in the area, but concern is heightened because of Thursday night lightning strikes.
