There were plenty of spinning lights, a few screams and lots of smiles Thursday evening as the Spring into Summer Carnival fundraiser began a four-day run at the Meadows Parking Lot in Steamboat Springs. Unlimited ride tickets can be purchased for $30, or visitors can purchase single ride tickets for $1 with most rides requiring three to five tickets per ride. The carnival is open from 5 p.m. until midnight today and noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday. The carnival benefits the middle school along with the Soda Creek and Strawberry Park elementary schools.
