Downtown destinations report heavy traffic despite cancellation of Fourth of July events

Steamboat Springs didn’t have a Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, the fireworks, the cattle drive or, for the most part, a river to play in. But the tourists came anyway. Downtown destinations reported Sunday that the Fourth of July week was busy and lucrative in Steamboat despite the cancellation of several of the town’s staple events.
