Susan McIntosh was honored Monday night as the Steamboat Springs School District's "Friend of Education" for the 2011-2012 school year. Since she moved to Steamboat in 1998 with her family, McIntosh has volunteered for the school district in many capacities, including in the front office of Steamboat Springs High School.

When Kevin Taulman introduced Susan McIntosh to the Steamboat Springs School Board on Monday night as the district's 2011-12 “Friend of Education,” the principal said the award wasn't merely recognizing McIntosh for one year of service, but rather for more than a decade of volunteerism.
