Visitors already are enjoying the new base area promenade after Steamboat Ski Area opened Wednesday. The Steamboat Springs Redevelopment Authority and Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. are inviting the public to come out for a celebration at 1:45 p.m. today in Gondola Square.
