Steamboat’s Davis Petersen unleashes a pitch Saturday during a Triple Crown tournament game in Steamboat Springs. His Steamboat Storm team won the game, but, having gone 2-2 in the tournament’s first two days, didn’t advance to continue playing Sunday.

Steamboat Storm end on thrilling victory
An extra-inning victory couldn’t save the Steamboat Storm in this weekend’s Mountain Magic Triple Crown youth baseball tournament in Steamboat Springs. That did little to dampen the spirits of the local players afterward, however.
