Scott Bjorgum serves up food at the Horizons Cooking Challenge, which was held at the City Cafe on Monday evening. Horizons Supported Living Services clients made the food, which was judged by a panel that included City Cafe owner Nicolette Powell. The Challenge was open to the public, and attendees also could vote on their favorites. The top three winners were Sobeski, Jeff Dockstader, who made cheese enchiladas, and Matt Troeger, who made chili cheese bites.

Patches of the pavement on the road leading to Dumont Lake near Rabbit Ears Pass have melted, but most of the area still is covered with 6 inches to a foot of snow. Warmer weather has taken a toll on the snowpack at higher elevations, but local streams and rivers should continue to run high.
