Upgrades in the snowmaking system last year have made creating snow in areas like Giggle Gulch much easier and quicker. The locker room at the base of Steamboat Ski Area doesn't offer much to look at, but snowmakers like Pierce Delhaute don't spend a lot of time inside. Most of their nights and days are spent setting up, checking on and shutting down snow guns on the mountain — which provides much better views.
