A Steamboat Springs man was sentenced this week to 90 days in jail for his involvement in a Dec. 11 fight in downtown Steamboat that led to another man being airlifted to Denver with a skull fracture.
A second man was booked into Routt County Jail this week related to a Jan. 6 fight at Torian Plum Plaza at the base of Steamboat Ski Area.
Two men turned themselves in at the Routt County Jail Tuesday on charges of second-degree assault. A total of four men have been arrested in connection with the Dec. 11 incident that hospitalized a man.
Police pursuing additional suspects involved in altercation
Thomas P. Murphy, the 27-year-old Illinois man who suffered a head injury after a fight Dec. 11 in downtown Steamboat Springs, remains in a Denver hospital in fair condition.
The 27-year-old Illinois man who had been released from a Denver hospital after a fight early Sunday morning in downtown Steamboat Springs was taken to YVMC about 2 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Wednesday that a conversation between two groups of men early Sunday in downtown Steamboat Springs led to a fight that put one in the hospital and another in jail.
Police released few additional details Tuesday about the Sunday morning fight that sent one man to a Denver hospital.
