The Hahn's Peak Area Historical Society estimates the Wither cabin dates to the 1880s. Marge Eardley, president of the society's board, said the cabin's restoration includes much of the furniture used decades ago.

A ribbon-cutting is planned for about 2:30 p.m. Sunday to celebrate the restoration of the historic Wither cabin. The event will be during the Arts, Crafts and Collectibles Fair on Main Street in Hahn’s Peak Village.
