Mary McDonagh Murphy, who will join a discussion at 6:30 p.m. today at Bud Werner Memorial Library, wrote “Scout, Atticus & Boo” alongside her documentary, “Hey Boo.” Both portray, through several interviews, the lasting impact of Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird,” which was released 50 years ago. The book was selected for One Book Steamboat.

One Book Steamboat welcomes author and documentary filmmaker
As a part of One Book Steamboat, a local community reading of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” documentary filmmaker and writer Mary McDonagh Murphy will offer a special screening of her new documentary, “Hey Boo: Harper Lee and To Kill A Mockingbird.” The event is at 6:30 p.m. today at Bud Werner Memorial Library Hall and is free and open to the public.
