Employees of landscape architectural firm Wenk and Associates supervised the placement of boulders Tuesday flanking a future outdoor gathering place at the Burgess Creek daylighting site. The Urban Renewal Area Advisory Committee meets from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Centennial Hall to discuss the project. Large sandstone slabs intended for the creation of stone walls and seating areas were stacked nearby. The area will feature a small waterfall.

Roy said many of her pieces involve aspen trees and that she got her inspiration when she realized the trees weren't individuals, but all a part of a larger organism.
