Work crews began moving earth last week at the Bear River Parcel in Steamboat Springs. The site will be the home of a new concrete skate park, which will be built thanks in part to a $200,000 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado. The Steamboat Skatepark Alliance, Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the city of Steamboat Springs also contributed funds to get the project off the ground.
