Kevin, left, and Sue Bramley walk though Torian Plum Plaza on Wednesday afternoon. Torian Plum's condo owners group sued Connell Resources in 2007, saying the plaza's concrete was flaking away. The parties in the case settled March 13.

Tracy Bye, director of Born Free Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, releases a yearling bull elk with the help of local veterinarian Dr. Lee Meyring. The calf was found injured in the parking lot at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center earlier this month. Bye said it had been attacked by dogs. Another day of mixed weather means a wet commute home for a cyclist in Steamboat Springs. The bike, still caked with snow late in the afternoon Wednesday, carried the remnants of a mostly snowy day in Steamboat Springs.

The official start of spring arrived Friday, but Wednesday's winter storm reminded Steamboat Springs resident Merari Sainz that it's nice to have a snow shovel handy. Sainz was using his shovel to remove snow from the walkway in front of LIFT-UP.
