Saturday was Habitat Builds Colorado Day in Colorado. About 20 volunteers worked on the project in Hayden, including employees from Wells Fargo and members of the United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs.

The Steamboat Ski Area upgraded much of its snowmaking equipment in 2008, putting more than $1 million into the system. Snowmaking controller Scott Livingston has used that system since he joined the crew in 1998. He's been named snowmaker of the year by Colorado Ski Country USA.

Six-year-old Rose Epstein, of Steamboat Springs, jumps off a loading dock at the Hayden granary Saturday afternoon. Yampa Valley Feeds was holding a grand reopening and offering tours of the granary, which opened in 1917.
