U.S. Ski Team member David Babic was in Steamboat Springs on Tuesday afternoon taking part in a U.S. Ski Team training camp at Bald Eagle Lake. The camp offered members of the team a chance to get on the ramps and fine-tune their tricks before next season.

Steamboat senior Elliot Girard throws out a runner during Tuesday's fifth annual Western Slope League All-Star Classic at Copper Field in Rifle. Girard competed with fellow Sailors Lars Johnson and Alex Wood to help the Moffat County, Steamboat Springs and Delta team beat the Palisade, Rifle, Glenwood Springs and Eagle Valley team, 6-1.

The students are hoping their parents will use the canvas bags instead of the plastic ones found at most stores in Steamboat Springs. It's just one of the ways students were learning to save the Earth's resources and save energy.
