Brian Hannon cruises downhill through a stand of trees along the Valley View mountain bike trail at the Steamboat Ski Area in Steamboat Springs during last year's Rio Stampede. This year's race has been changed to six- and 12-hour races and moved to Aug. 9 to let trails dry.
