Rob Brown, a 25-year-old Iraq war veteran with the Army's 1st Armored Division, kayaks Tuesday at Charlie's Hole on the Yampa River behind the Bud Werner Memorial Library. Brown, who was shot by enemy fire in September 2006 and ended up the losing function of his right leg, is one of six wounded veterans from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., who visited Steamboat Springs this week for a kayaking trip sponsored by Team River Runner.
