Eric Pollert, 5, plays with an old-fashioned toy while attending a Mesa Schoolhouse open house Wednesday with Alec Feller, 6, middle, and Maddie Craigen, 6. Heidi Feldman with Tread of Pioneers Museum dressed in period clothing and taught the children and other guests about the schoolhouse, which was built in 1916.
