David Kerker, 25, is the newest trooper to join the Colorado State Patrol based out of Steamboat Springs. Kerker started work Tuesday.

Bob White, former director of human services for Routt County, resigned from his position in November. The county began advertising the position Wednesday and will continue through the end of the month.

Skiers in the Steamboat Springs area have welcomed recent snowstorms, but the heavy snow hasn't been as easy on those delivering mail. The post office wants to remind the public to keep the area around cluster boxes clear, so that the large doors can be opened easily to deliver the mail.
