Kremmling's Chris Burandt trains Friday afternoon at The Compound, a private snowmobile training facility at a ranch west of Steamboat. He was perfecting his "holy man" trick before heading to Winter X Games 12, starting Thursday in Aspen. Burandt, the reigning Snowmobile Freestyle gold medalist, will compete in Thursday's new Snowmobile Speed & Style event as well as the Jan. 27 Snowmobile Freestyle competition.
