An unidentified man died Tuesday at the Steamboat Ski Area. The cause of death is under investigation.

Skiers and riders at Steamboat Ski Area can now enjoy the Sundown Express and Elkhead chairlifts, along with the trails they serve in the Priest Creek basin, which open today.
More terrain on the way
Buoyed by snowfall during the past week, the Steamboat Ski Area plans to open additional terrain Friday and Saturday, including the Sundown Express chairlift and some of the mountain's more popular upper-mountain trails.
