Phil Spahr shows off his prize, a 52 1/2-pound lake trout, before releasing the beast back into Flaming Gorge Reservoir where he caught it on a fishing expedition with Creative Fishing Adventures in June. Spahr said he caught the fish, his only catch of the day, jigging off the bottom of the lake at 105 feet. He said the monster would have been a state record if he'd kept it, but he opted to throw it back so he potentially could catch him again someday.

Claysil was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago and uses the therapy sessions to improve her physical well being. Rehab Services recently was accredited and certified as a Center of Excellence for Cancer Rehabilitation, making it one of the only centers of its kind on the Western Slope.
