A large garage houses fire trucks and rescue vehicles for the Oak Creek Fire Protection District. Oak Creek Fire Protection District Chief Chuck Wisecup says the new station will make responding to fires in the Stagecoach area much quicker and should save homeowners in the area money on their insurance premiums.

A horse enjoys last weekend's mild spring weather as it stands in an open section of pasture along Routt County Road 129. The warm weather seems to have broken winter's grasp, turning the surrounding snowbanks into shallow, flowing streams.
