A large swath of displaced mud dominates the view from Valerie Perea's plot of land in the Tree Haus subdivision near Steamboat Springs on Tuesday afternoon. A mudslide washed away part of Perea's property on Sept. 6. A broken water pipe may be partly to blame for the mudslide.
