Steamboat's Charlie Smith returns a volley during a match on the opening day of the state 4A high school tennis championships at Pueblo City Park. Smith and No. 1 doubles partner Alex Gibbs earned a shot at the semifinal round after beating teams from Colorado Springs Christian and D'Evelyn.
