Gavin Malia, the city's geographic information systems coordinator and volunteer chairman of the Green Team, shows off the plaque the city received for its purchase of renewable energy credits that offset electricity use at Centennial Hall. Tuesday, Malia and Deputy City Manager Wendy DuBord will recommend that the Steamboat Springs City Council hire a full-time Sustainability Coordinator to implement environmentally friendly policies throughout Steamboat Springs.
