It may look like Captain Jack Sparrow, but it's really Soda Creek Elementary School third-grader Rudy Arce belting out a tune during the Disney Spectacular on Monday night. The performance, which featured Walt Disney Classics, was presented by Soda Creek's second- and third-grade classes.

The first official full day of spring doesn't start until Wednesday, but it didn't stop this bee from visiting a crocus in full bloom in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs on Monday. Insects and flowers were not the only ones enjoying the warm weather as many people in Steamboat also headed out to enjoy the day.

Traffic lined U.S. 40 Monday after a mudslide forced City Crews to close down one lane east of downtown. Joe Sorholus uses a shovel to clean up part of the slides while his coworkers used an excavator, small frontend loader and dump truck to get the larger part of the slide.
