Downtown Oak Creek is one of several locations in South Routt that stands to benefit from a proposed regional shuttle service in the future. The level of interest in such a system has yet to be studied.

The annual Balloon Rodeo will take place at a new location this summer - Bald Eagle Lake off U.S. Highway 40. Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association officials still are working out details for transportation to the popular summer attraction.

Jason Saitta crosses the finish line of last year's Steamboat Marathon. Saitta won his sixth Steamboat Marathon title in 2:37:49, a personal best for the 26.2-mile course. This year's marathon is Sunday.
