Skiers and snowboarders coast to the base of Steamboat Ski Area last week. Northwest Colorado is expected to get 12 to 24 inches of snow in a storm beginning this afternoon and possibly extending into Wednesday. Heavy snowfall would give a needed boost to the ski area, which had limited runs available during its opening weekend.
"Bring it on," Andy Wirth, vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, said of the storm Sunday.
