Construction of the new Routt County Justice Center progressed mostly indoors this week. Funding construction of the $13.4 million center, scheduled for completion in September 2007, is a significant factor in managing the 2006 and 2007 Routt County budgets. County officials are hosting a public hearing on the 2007 budget at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Routt County Courthouse Annex.

Election workers set up voting equipment at the Steamboat Pilot & Today office in preparation for the Nov. 7 general election. A post-election audit performed by county and political officials found that votes were counted accurately during the election.
