Vito G. DelGuercio

Vito G. DelGuercio (BSEE and MSCS) worked at ITT Labs, Aerojet General, Time Zero Corp., Bendix/Honeywell Aerospace and JHU Applied Physics Lab a total of 49 years. As a GI, he repaired radar sets around Suwon/K13 airbase in Korea. He detonated seismic explosives on the moon for Apollo 17 and set up the Landsat Satellite for Bendix (Google Earth).
Vito went to New Jersey Institute of Technology, Cal State Fullerton, University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University to get his degrees.
He is survived by Carmen, his wife of 42 years; Linda Belusko, Laura Kelk, John DelGuercio, Robert DelGuercio, Anthony DelGuercio and Terry DelGuercio; brothers Tommy DelGuercio and Carmine DelGuercio; sisters Dolaris DelGuercio and Jeanne Roche; and Cookie Monster grandkids Hannah, Alex, Holland, Vito and Sayre.
A funeral is at 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at Yampa Valley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the Salvation Army or Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Palliative Care, in care of the Yampa Valley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 776090, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477.
