Michael Stephen Lewis, 60, died June 3, 2012, after a brave struggle with multiple myeloma.
He died in Kauai, Hawaii, a place that he loved, with his adored companion, Vivian Raynor, at his side.
Michael loved and lived his life with great vigor and enthusiasm and always with a smile.
In both his personal and professional life, his integrity and genuine goodness were always in evidence, as was his wonderful sense of humor.
Michael will be very much missed by Vivian and her family; his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Michelle Lewis; his sister, Elizabeth Matthews; and their families, along with everyone who was lucky enough to call Michael a friend.
At the very end, Michael smiled and said that he was happy to die “being right.” Vivian understood.
