Emily Reeve Ingram
unknown - January 31, 2011
Emily Reeve Ingram died Jan. 31, 2011, at the Doak Walker Care Center.
She was a daughter of Ralph and Edith Reeve, a pioneer family who homesteaded in Northwest Colorado and owned a ranch on the Williams Fork River east of Hamilton.
Emily attended the one-room Waddle Creek School, graduated from Craig High School and later graduated from the University of Denver.
She spent her early adult years in Tennessee, Maryland, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
After moving to Steamboat Springs in 1971, she owned and operated the Plaza Gallery, Purple Sage Studios and Emily Ingram Galleries. She was a strong supporter of the arts, and her passing ends a 40-year love of Steamboat and its residents.
Emily is survived by sons Mark Holder and Dave (Liz) Ingram; daughter Holly (T.S.) Laurens; grandchildren T. Pat, Sam and Lynmarie Laurens; sisters Berdina (Bob) Nicodemus and Janice Davidson; a host of other family members; and many dear friends.
Marlys Myers, another sister, preceded Emily in death. A summer memorial is planned.
