Sharon Kay Decker, of Craig, died Aug. 15, 2010, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 62.
Sharon was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Denver, the daughter of Herbert and Louise (Richardson) Ives. She was raised and attended school in Denver, graduating from South High in 1965.
Sharon married Lee E. Decker on Nov. 17, 1970, in Las Vegas. They made their home in Denver until 1980, when they moved to Craig. Sharon worked as a bookkeeper in Denver and Craig and later for the Northwest Colorado BOCES in Steamboat Springs as an office administrator.
Sharon enjoyed being around her grandchildren and shopping for antiques.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Decker, of Craig; her daughters Tammy (Kevin) Mills, of Elizabeth, and Trisha (Jeffrey) Semelroth, of Atkins, Iowa; her son Anthony Decker, of Meeker; and grandchildren Brandon and Preston Mills, Quentin and Dylan Murphy, Mirissa Stolp and Karsyn, Brody and Hunter Semelroth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Herbert Ives Jr.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service was held Aug. 20 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel with Pastor John Larson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to The Health Care Foundation for the Yampa Valley, for the Cancer Center, in care of Grant Mortuary.
