Charles Anthony Kupilik Jr. died April 3, 2010, in Loveland. He was born June 27, 1931, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Charles A. Kupilik and Anna Person Kupilik. He spent his childhood in Scottsbluff and in Windsor, Ovid and Longmont.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from the University of Colorado. He then became a banker, a career that began in Steamboat Springs and later took him to Laramie, Wyo., and Eureka, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Arloa Catherine Sprengle, whom he married in Steamboat. They had three children: Tony (Lianne), of Laramie; Lynn (Dave Murphy), of Salyer, Calif.; and Van (Wendy), of Eureka; six grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
He also is survived by his sister, Margaret Kupilik, of Seal Beach, Calif.; and his brother, Fred (Georgie) Kupilik, of Allenspark.
A memorial service was held April 10 at the Allenspark Community Church.
