1969 - 2008
Angus McLeod died unexpectedly last week in Steamboat Springs. He was 39.
He is the son of Carole McLeod Schneider and Donald McLeod. Mr. McLeod was born April 15, 1969, in Oneida, N.Y. He attended Doane Stuart School, and graduated from Schenectady County Community College with an associate applied sciences degree in hotel and restaurant management. In the early '90s, he moved to Steamboat, where he worked for a variety of restaurants as well as the Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Angus was a skier, a dog-lover, a cook and a friend, among many other things. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
His mother, Carole McLeod Schneider, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his father, Donald McLeod, of Auburndale, Fla.; and his sister, Laura McLeod, of Nashville, Tenn., survive Mr. McLeod.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Jan. 24 at the Yampa Valley Funeral Home. A gathering will immediately follow the service at the Old West Steakhouse on 11th Street. Call 970-879-1494 for details.
