Timothy Pingleton, 46, of Columbia, Mo., passed away Dec. 14 at Boone Hospital Center. Tim was born March 10, 1963, in Carlinville, Ill. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Rhodes Lewis, formerly of Yampa, and his father, Curtis Pingleton, who lived in Palisade. He is survived by his wife, Joann Fortney. The couple married May 22, 1999.
Tim was a 1981 graduate of Soroco High School in Oak Creek. He was a quality engineer for Dana Corp. where he worked for more than 20 years. While growing up in the Yampa Valley, Tim was active in Little Britches Rodeo Association where he enjoyed roping and bull riding. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling and snowmobiling, and he was an avid reader. His greatest passion was his wife, family and friends.
Tim also is survived by his son, Tyler Pingleton, of Columbia, Mo.; sister Cherie Burris and husband, Tom, of Crawfordsville, Ind.; and brother Tony Pingleton and wife, Joyce, of Palisade.
