Marion Canter, of Glendale, Ariz., a frequent visitor to Steamboat Springs, passed away on Sept. 13, 2008. She was 90.
Marion loved to visit Steamboat in the summer and fall and made many friends, from toddler to senior. She was "Grammy" to all the friends of her grandson, Andrew Johnston. Her great sense of humor and intelligence were endless and touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Neil Canter, and his wife, Susan, of Glendale; daughter, Barbi Johnston, and her husband, Terry, of Steamboat; son, Stuart Canter, of Steamboat; granddaughters Lauri Johnson, of Concord, N.H., Lisa Kelsey and her husband, Mark, of Wasilla, Alaska, and Andrew Johnston, of Austin, Texas; and great-grandchildren Dylan and Chloe Johnson and Jackson Kelsey.
