Doris M. Spaulding, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away June 12, 2008, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. She was 74.
Doris was the daughter of Thomas and Ann Williamson of Steamboat Springs. She attended K-12 in Steamboat Springs and began her banking career at Routt County Bank before graduating from high school.
She married Glenn A. Spaulding of Phippsburg on Dec. 23, 1951, in Steamboat Springs. Two daughters were born to this union: Valerie A. Hanson and Hallidee M. Unrein. Doris and Glenn lived in Steamboat Springs, Walden, and Valdez, Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. Doris worked at banks and for the lumber companies in Walden. She also lived in Belgrade, Mont., while working for Louisiana-Pacific Lumber Company. After retiring from LP in Belgrade, she moved back to Walden and went to work for North Park State Bank (later Mountain Valley Bank), before moving to Idaho in September 2007.
Doris is survived by daughters Valerie Hanson and her husband Kelly of Hayden, Idaho, and Hallidee Unrein and her husband Kenny of Spirit Lake, Idaho; grandchildren Justin and Amber Hanson of Post Falls, Idaho; Jade and Coen Hanson of Hayden, Idaho; Jessica and Randy Mulkey of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Ginger Unrein of Spokane, Wash.; Andrea Unrein and her fiance Keith Fresorger of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and Chelsea Unrein of Rathdrum, Idaho; and six great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters. Doris also is survived by her brother Lee Williamson and his wife Sally of Torrington, Wyo., and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn A. Spaulding, parents Thomas and Ann Williamson and sister Donna Mains.
At her request, funeral services will not be held. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, is in care of the arrangements.
