Steamboat Springs native John Zulevich died May 15, 2008. He was 54.
John was born May 27, 1953, in Steamboat Springs to Jack and Sharron (Anderson) Zulevich. John grew up in Steamboat Springs where he attended Steamboat Springs School District schools and graduated in 1971. He then attended Western State College in Gunnison, where he graduated in 1975 with a BA in business. He was a longtime employee of Land America/Transnation in Steamboat Springs as a Senior Title Officer.
John loved this valley and the mountains that surround it. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
John leaves his brother Jim and sister-in-law Sue Zulevich of Steamboat Springs, his sister Becky and brother-in-law Ron Goodrich of Steamboat Springs, and his sister Connie and brother-in-law Ed Schicktanz of Larkspur. He had a nephew, Greg Zulevich, and nieces Lisa Carter, Callie Drury, Sharron Bruesch and Jennifer Schicktanz. He had two great-nephews, Braiden and Grant Carter, and a third on the way. Many other extended family members and friends remember John fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Services were held Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the Yampa Valley Funeral Home in Steamboat Springs.
