Ricky Allen Northrop died June 23, 2008, at his home in Craig, following a brief illness. He was 47.
Ricky was born Jan. 25,
1961, in Kremmling to Billie G. and Evelyn Jean (Huffman) Northrop. Ricky lived in various places during his childhood, including Yampa, Aurora, Bailey and Lafayette, where he attended high school.
Ricky worked in the timber industry, the plumbing industry and as a mechanic. He was in a truck accident many years ago while working for a moving company in Nevada and was in poor health since that time.
Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing and working as a mechanic and trying to fix things.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Jean Northrop of Fallon, Nev.; his father, Billie Northrop; stepmother Carmen of Hayden; brothers Doug Northrop and his wife, Terry, and Bill Northrop and his wife, Brenda, all of Yampa; Rodney Northrop and his wife, Irene, of Fallon, Nev.; and Rusty Northrop and his wife, Lisa, of Seattle. He also is survived by nieces Danielle, Maura, Anger and Jessica; and nephews James, Jeremy, Joshua, Brandon, Levi, Brody and Billy.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside services were held July 8 at the Yampa Cemetery.
