Douglas Lee Glaze Sr., of Wellington, died July 2, 2008, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. He was 59.
He was born Oct. 23, 1947, in Steamboat Springs, to Marguerite and Glenn Glaze. He worked the majority of his life pipefitting and coal mining. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He always had a sense of humor, even to the end.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Kay Glaze, of Wellington; children Douglas Lee Glaze, and his wife, Stacy, of Pierce; Glenn Dean Glaze of Wellington; and Julianne Eva Glaze of Sonoma, Calif. He also is survived by eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Justin, Makayla, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Jordan, Gabriel and Jeremey; his mother, Marguerite E. Anderson of Oak Creek; brother, Leonard Leroy Glaze of Wellington; and sister, Linda Kay Long of Oak Creek.
A funeral was held July 7 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Oak Creek. He was laid to rest at the family plot in Yampa. Memorial donations may be made to Yampa Fire Rescue in care of Grant Mortuary.
