Robert E. Conway, of Fort Collins, passed away Jan. 19, 2008, of complications due to cancer. He was 54.
Bob's hometown was Greenwich, Conn., but he lived in Fort Collins for the past 30 years, where he was a devoted employee of the Tunnel Water Supply and Storage Company. He and his wife, Mickey, married Feb. 29, 1996.
Bob was a loving husband, a dedicated and hard-working employee, a fiercely loyal friend and an honest and forthright man. He dearly loved the mountains, nature, the environment and his job, and celebrated these joys every moment he could by virtue of an uncanny wit and charm (and quite a bit of sarcasm) with his many friends and his loving family.
He is survived by Mickey, his loving wife of 12 years; his stepchildren Tim, Brad and Katie; his parents Corinne and Gene Conway of Greenwich, Conn.; and his sisters Patty, also of Greenwich, and Claudia of Malverne, N.Y.
A small memorial service for his family was held Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fort Collins.
A large memorial service for all of Bob's friends will be planned in the mountains in July.
