Steamboat Springs resident Jean M. "Pat" Fromm passed away Jan. 19, 2008, after complications from cancer surgery. She was 84.
Pat split her residency between Steamboat Springs and Jefferson, Ohio. She drove across the country with her cat, Peeka, skied, worked with horse trainers and enjoyed watching professional tennis matches in Palm Springs, Calif.
A 1945 graduate from Ohio State University, Pat was a health and physical education teacher. She was the original "Rosie the Riveter," a "just do it" woman who had ambition and determination to live life to the fullest. She was a true inspiration to many people.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Fromm-Tan and her husband Vincent; her son Robert Fromm and his wife Connie; and four grandchildren, Kristel, Megan, Bradley and Riana.
