Charlotte Jane Shaul of Craig died April 13, 2008, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. She was 92.
Charlotte was born Feb. 26, 1916, to John Joseph Blandford and Sadie Eleanor Ritzschke, at home in Steamboat Springs. She lived and went to school in Steamboat Springs.
She married Joseph Kostur of Denver in the early 1930s. Two children, Barbara and Robert, were born of this marriage. She lost her husband in August 1960.
Charlotte married Mac Shaul of Denver in 1964. They later moved to Milner and then Craig. He died in July 1990.
Charlotte is survived by her son Robert Kostur, and his wife Judy; son-in-law Steve Straughan; grandchildren Skip Kostur and his wife Bev, Glenna Grandbouche and her husband Bret, Tom Kostur and his wife Selina, Mark Straughan, Christi Olin and her husband Mike, Beverly Shelton and her husband Mike, and Becky Dokos and her husband Greg; great-grandchildren Kurtis, Kyle and Korey Kostur, Jon Matthew and his wife Shae, Justin Matthews and Shasta Straughan; and two great-grandchildren, Dakoda and Kaitlyn. She also is survived by her 99-year-old sister, Mayme McElhinney, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Kostur and Mac Shaul, daughter Barbara Straughan, brothers Joe, Bob, John and Riley Blandford, and sisters Katie Mathis, Mildred Blomquist and Ruth Riffe.
Cremation services, officiated by Traber Cass, were held April 19 at Grant Mortuary in Craig.
