Debra Wasser
February 1, 1958 - September 15, 2007
Part-time Steamboat Springs resident Debra Wasser passed away Sept. 15, 2007, after a heroic battle against ovarian cancer. She was 49.
She was born Feb. 1, 1958. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Michael Wasser of Gem City Bone and Joint in Laramie, Wyo.; adored mother of Lily, 13, and Max, 11; and dear daughter of Bob and Marilyn Schweitzer.
Debra was well known and respected for her tireless philanthropic efforts on projects including the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure and the building of the Laramie Recreational Center.
She is survived by countless grieving friends and family members.
Funeral services were held Sept. 16, 2007, at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home, 2133 Rainbow Ave., Laramie, Wyo. Burial followed in the Green Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Debra Wasser Memorial Fund or the LJCC Building Fund in care of Lorna Johnson, treasurer, LJCC, P.O. Box 202, Laramie, WY 82073.
Services are under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
